Trees Planted in Grenville Park

As part of the larger tree planting effort to “green” the urban neighborhoods of Ware and it’s public spaces, sixteen more trees were planted in Grenville Park. The awesome volunteers and seasoned tree planting staff combined efforts with John P. (Parks Dept. director) who expertly used the backhoe to pre-dig the holes. Mostly the trees were added along the loop road closer to the Ware River. Adding these trees is made possible by a grant from the US Forest Service and matching funds from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.
