Wellness Walk on the new loop trail at Pat’s Sanctuary in Ware Sunday, August 2nd at 4:00 p.m.
Come check out the new loop trail at Pat’s Sanctuary on the Dougal Range!
Pat’s Sanctuary is one of our newer preserves, and this summer, EQLT volunteers, interns, and staff have been doing a lot of trail work, building out a loop that passes by glacial erratic, stone walls, wetlands, hemlock groves, and through hardwoods. The trail is steep in several spots and primarily a single-track, rocky, and uneven forest trail, with about 400 feet of elevation change from the parking area to the top of the Range.
Wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather.
Bring plenty of water!
Expect ticks, mosquitos, and other summertime insects —bring bug spray!
We’ll bring snacks!NOTE: We will postpone the walk in the event of inclement weather (thunderstorms). RSVP ([email protected]) to receive updates!

Imagine the sounds around you as salamanders migrate.
Or woodpeckers hunt for ants.
Turn that into inspirational music.
That’s what Manar will share with us!
Meet at EQLT headquarters – 120 Ridge Road, Hardwick at 6pm.
Save-the-dates for future Artist-in-Residence talks:
August 20th and September 3rd
Looking for a summer volunteer project? We could use your help with our new Edible Plant Pathway!
We are seeking volunteers to help care for the new plantings at the Edible Plant Pathway through the summer!
We are looking for several volunteers who we can rely on to assist our TerraCorps Service Member, Michael, water the plants and saplings and/or do some mowing from now through September.
This will be a shared volunteer experience, so no single person has to do it all every week — but that means we need as many helpers as possible!
This is a great way to “give back” (and meet new people and get some exercise!), and you will have the satisfaction of knowing you had a part in this community-benefit project!
Interested? Email Michael! [email protected]
We’ll be scheduling volunteer orientation soon, so sign up today!
