For a printable list of potential species that you might find on EQLT preserves, please click the links for pdfs of common species, semi-common species and uncommon species.
A printed checklist may be found at the preserve kiosk. Visitors are encouraged to check species off as they encounter wildlife along their exploration of the preserve.
The check-off list is organized by how likely you are to see a species, as well as by its classification such as tree vs. shrub.
The 2025-26 species inventory was completed at Deer Park Preserve in Hardwick, Pynchon’s Grist Mill Preserve in West Brookfield & Henry’s Grove Preserve in Hubbardston. This wildlife species list covers various different environments and habitats to represent a broad species list across all our preserve properties.
The app iNaturalist was used to gather species data and correctly identify each species.
Below you will find QR code links to observation lists at various EQLT preserves.
Folks are encouraged to download iNaturalist for future species data collection. Projects have also been created for each preserve to reference for specific species presence and identification.
