Corey and Marissa O’Connor hosted a farm tour with EQLT, the Rutland Agricultural Commission and Oakham Open Space Committee at their beautiful vineyard and tap room on Ware Corner Road in Oakham. We got to sample two of their wines, thank you Corey and Marissa! Residents from throughout the region attended, learning about their process of growing grapes, making wine and hosting outdoor events.
Then participants heard from Richard Cavanaugh, attorney at Common Grow in Petersham, about estate planning and multiple options for transferring and maintaining land within the family or business. Questions were asked and participants went home thinking about the future of their land.
