The rain let up on Sunday afternoon long enough for Caren Caljouw to lead a walk around the grounds at 120 Ridge Road. In addition to seeing Betty Morss’ original plantings and the changes in the garden over the past decade, a toad was found enlivening the garden.
Afterwards everyone settled down for a bountiful potluck meal.
After the business meal we were treated to a slide show on spring wildflowers. Plants highlighted included skunk cabbage, marsh marigold (also known as cowslips), trillium, lady slippers and many, many others.
