Today we headed out to the site for the new Pocket Park on 5 Foster Hill Road in West Brookfield to cleanup the area. What an awesome crew of folks who hopped right in to clear out under the trees and pick up loose trash! Thank you to everyone who helped. We found a pile of old slate roofing which had us talking about how it could be incorporated into the pocket park as an artistic screen along Rte. 9, or as pieces for a tic-tac-toe board, or as plant tags for the pollinator beds that will be installed. How would you suggest using the slate?
