2024 started out with a great walk on the Mass Central Rail Trail in New Braintree and Wheelwright on a beautiful, crisp day. Blue sky and wispy clouds. The crowd of 60+ people explored the newest section of the rail trail to be opened up, getting visitors to the Ware River. From this vantage point you can look up river and see the Wheelwright Pond Dam. On the way back to the parking area, many people took the River’s Edge Preserve walking trail along the Ware River. The preserve now includes 34 more acres of conservation land, thanks to a generous donation by Barbara Kimball and Greg Jamieson.
