The 2026 – 27 AmeriCorps service term is completed. We are grateful to Ellie and Michael for spending the past 10.5 months at EQLT successfully completing important efforts including:
- Youth education programs with libraries and other local groups
- Expanding the Forest Play Trail at EQLT offices, 120 Ridge Road, Hardwick, to be more accessible and add new play stations
- Educate visitors about the Edible Plant Pathway, off the Mass Central Rail Trail at 250 Church Street, Ware
- Design and install the plantings at the Edible Plant Pathway
- Conduct species inventories at three EQLT preserves
- Establish a native plant nursery at EQLT offices, to provide growing stock for other preserves and natural areas in the region.
